Nimbl
Japan
Nimbl takes its name from "nimble": light, quick and agile. Founded in 2019 in Italy's Marche region, home to generations of shoemakers, Nimbl makes high-end road cycling shoes by hand in its own workshop, from the carbon sole to the upper.
CYCLISM has sold Nimbl since 2021, working with TRISPORTS, Nimbl's official distributor in Japan, to ship the ULTIMATE range from stock in Japan. We're happy to help with model choice and sizing, in English or Japanese.
Made by hand, one pair at a time
Marche, in central Italy, has been home to shoemaking workshops for generations. From the start, Nimbl developed its shoes with local craftsman Luigino Verducci, who joined the company in 2020 and still shapes how every pair is made.
From the hand-laid carbon chassis to the microfiber upper, every step happens in Nimbl's own workshop, and every pair is finished by hand. That level of precision and finish is something mass production can't match, and it's the heart of what Nimbl stands for.
A carbon chassis that wraps the heel
Most cycling shoe soles are flat plates. Nimbl's carbon chassis is shaped like a tray, rising up around the heel and the sides of the foot. The larger contact area means less of your effort is lost, and your foot stays in the right position through the whole pedal stroke.
Stack height is under 2mm, putting your foot as close to the pedal as possible for a direct, connected feel. It's why so many riders notice the difference on their first pedal stroke in a pair of Nimbls.
Room for your toes, a secure heel
Nimbl shoes have a deliberately wide toe box. Your toes have room to move naturally, so the shoes stay comfortable on long days in the saddle and hot summer rides, when feet tend to swell.
The upper is just 1.2mm of shape-memory microfiber that moulds to your foot over time and holds its shape for years. Heel caps are replaceable, so a favourite pair can keep going season after season.
Built on feedback from the pros
Nimbl's first prototypes were developed with input from WorldTour riders. Nimbl has supplied Team Visma | Lease a Bike's race shoes since 2023, and has made the team's race kit since 2025.
In 2026, Jonas Vingegaard won the Giro d'Italia in Nimbl shoes, completing his set of all three Grand Tours. At the highest level of the sport, Nimbl keeps delivering results.
That feedback goes into every new season's shoes. Race-tested craftsmanship, ready for your weekend ride.

FAQ
How do I choose my Nimbl size?
Each product page has a size guide listing insole length and toe box width for every EU size. Measure the length and width of your bare foot and compare, and get in touch if you're between sizes.
Which should I choose: AIR, GLIDE or EXCEED?
For the lightest possible shoe, choose the laced AIR. For dial convenience at low weight, choose the GLIDE. If you like to adjust your fit often during a ride, choose the EXCEED. All three are handmade in Italy.
How long does delivery take?
We ship from stock in Japan, usually within about a week of your order. If your size is out of stock, restocking takes around 3–4 weeks.
Which cleats are compatible?
Nimbl shoes take 3-bolt cleats, which fit all major road pedal systems.
