In 1977, Alcide Basso opened a small workshop in the northern Italian town of Bassano del Grappa. Almost fifty years later, Basso Bikes continues to build world-class road and gravel bikes from that same place, with that same passion. Cyclism.jp is the official Basso Bikes partner in Japan.

Every Basso bike is designed, painted and assembled at the Basso facility in Bassano del Grappa. From frame construction to paint to final assembly - every stage of production happens in Italy.

A Family Company
Founder Alcide Basso remains closely involved in the company to this day. His sons, Alessandro (CEO) and Leonardo, now lead Basso into its next chapter.
Being family-run means every decision is made with care and pride. Basso Bikes is more than a brand - it's a family story, and one that can't be separated from the town of Bassano del Grappa.
Cyclism.jp founder Danny has a direct personal relationship with the Basso family - staying at the Club House in Bassano, riding and dining together, and receiving the trust to bring this exceptional brand to Japan.

Starting in 2026, Cyclism.jp became Basso Bikes' sole official and preferred partner in Japan, bringing premium road and gravel bikes to serious Japanese cyclists.
Brought from Bassano del Grappa to the streets of Tokyo: a Basso SV in Rosso Vivo colour marks the first chapter of the story Cyclism.jp and Basso Bikes are beginning together in Japan.
Every bike is built to order - produced, painted and assembled in Bassano del Grappa, then delivered to Japan in 4-6 weeks.
